Suzdal, Kazan and Perm

The last few days have been a lot of driving. They are called mountains but I found them only hills. They don't go over 400 meter I think. but very scenic, and lots of bends in the road.

After deciding to take the main highways found out I will be pasing Suzdal. according to the Lonely planet that is an major tourist attraction for locals and foreigners alike. so made a stop, it was already late so decided to find a hostel first and visit the next morning. found 2 other duchies in the hostel! The following day stated with sightseeing. and Suzdal does what is promised in the looney planet. basically it is a tourist attraction so very touristic. because the trans Siberian railway didn't stop here but 40 km to the south in a similar town (Vladimir) making the development of Suzdal slower. and thus now having a rustic feel to it.

Around 12 o clock I fired up my engine and went on my way. as I didn't really plan my stops went looking for what to visit; Kazan it would be. I knew I wouldn't make it in one day so when I got tired parked the car and put up my blinds. Knowing I will reach Kazan the next day. Kazan is a big city with a beautiful Kremlin with you can visit for free. a big shopping street and hot weather. the long trousers good be put away from this point on. almost had a bit off an accident when I parked the car; turned the engine off and let the pedals go. and started packing my things. Lucky noticed the car was rolling as I parked on a angle. handbrake harder! To be sure I put it in first gear as well. It was centimeters to the car in front off me I think.

After 2 more nights in the car I reached Perm. time for an hostel and a shower. perm just didn't do it for me, it is a bit run down. I arrived on Victorie day, concert and activities everywhere. Missed the parade however, (presumable a military parade) but there where still some militaries vehicles parked on a closed of street. the river site walkways where impressive. and saw an old steam locomotive arriving at the station. opposite of the train station there used to be an departure hall for river voyage so people just had to cross the street to chance from boat to train or visa versa.

when I came back from my walk I saw some oil under my front Axel, this time on the right but new exactly what was wrong; an axel seal was leaking.(I had the left one changed 2 months ago) so had to look for a mechanic that could fix that for me tomorrow!
