1 month!

hy,

has been a while since the last post. by now the big date is a bit more than an month away! I booked a ferry from Travemunde to Helsinki (Finnlines) on the 1e of may. with means the cast off will be on 30th of april. to make the 3 am ferry departure. getting exited!

I have been working on my car a lot. finished the blinds, also made a mesh for both side windows so I can leave them open during the night without mosquitos joining me. they have a magnetic strip sewed in to the side so that stick to the car. all blinds will be attached to the inside of the window by suckers. both systems need a lit of rethinking unfortunately but will work for now. also had some wheel hubs replaced, and next wheel will get new tires on all 5 wheels. (including the spare)

Also the paper work is on its way, got an Russian visa without any problems in Den Haag. The Mongolia Visa was a bit of a drive as it had to be applied for in Brussel pick up is next week so another drive wil be necessary. (a 180 km one way)

also the bed is finished, its not on the pic but with a handmade matras cover and all. its a tight fit but actually quite comfy, altho I have to sleep diagonally in the car to fit. also there is more height than it seems on the pic as the roof higher than the door opening. the extra jerry cans you see are for diesel. I also have others for water with are stored behind the passenger seat as they are smaller and do fit under the bed. on the left there is an hole that stretches al the way to the front seat with holds long stuf like a shovel camera pod an my camping chair for easy acces. time wil properly organise the Carr a bit better but it will work for now. especially the crates are a big mess of stuff now. the front one holds most of the cooking equipment. the one in front of that (out off sight) has a lot of camping gear.
